The Manhattan Borough President has appointed 16 individuals to serve their first terms on Community Board 12-Manhattan (CB12M). Appointments take effect immediately and run through spring 2028.
“We are thrilled to welcome such a large and talented class of new members,” said Anthony Viola, Chairperson of CB12M. “They bring fresh perspectives that will strengthen the work of our board and better serve the community we represent.”
The incoming class includes three architects, two founders of district-based community organizations, and a high school student — reflecting the breadth of expertise and experience that CB12M continues to attract.
New members attended CB12M’s orientation on Friday, June 12, and will join the Borough President’s Office for a virtual orientation of all Manhattan community boards on Monday, June 15. The Board’s next general meeting takes place on Tuesday, June 23, at 6:30 PM at the Roy and Diana Vagelos Education Center, where the new members will participate for the first time.
