CB12M Co-Hosts Senior Safety and Wellness Fair with Manhattan District Attorney’s Office

June 12, 2026

Community Board 12-Manhattan supported the Senior Safety and Wellness Fair for Washington Heights and Inwood on June 12, 2026, inviting the area’s aging community to learn about all their support options.

This annual event drew over 100 participants and brought together several organizations offering tabling and other resources. The fair featured activities, music, food, giveaways, a shred truck, and health screenings.

“The Senior Safety and Wellness Fair held on June 12th was an amazing success with 20 organizations and 100+ seniors participating,” summarized Mary Anderson, Chair of CB12M’s Concerns of the Aging Committee. “There was a variety of vital information provided to the seniors as well as a Tai Chi demo that everyone participated in.”

City Harvest was among the organizations in attendance, providing seniors with takeaway bundles of fresh fruits and vegetables.

“In addition, City Harvest provided bundles of fresh produce to all the seniors and the DA’s office provided raffled items for the seniors to win,” added Anderson.

The Senior Safety and Wellness Fair is held annually at the Alianza Triangle Building on West 166th Street or Audubon Plaza. CB12M looks forward to continuing its support for the event.
