The Cannabis Taskforce of Community Board 12 Manhattan is dedicated to overseeing and reviewing applications for licenses related to the retail sale of cannabis. This committee plays a crucial role in maintaining the quality of life in the district by ensuring that businesses and services operate in a manner that is safe, legal, and considerate of community standards.
Every month, the Committee evaluates applications before CB12M and hosts discussions on the evolving landscape of cannabis policies. Presenters include city and state agencies, law enforcement, health professionals, and community organizations to address public health, safety, and community well-being, while also promoting equity and economic opportunities.
