Monthly Reports

Each month, the Chair and District Manager provide reports summarizing recent activities, upcoming priorities, and matters requiring board attention. These reports are posted following the general meeting and serve as a reference for members who want to stay informed on board-wide developments between meetings.

February 2026

Chair Report (Anthony Viola)

I am starting the report with some general updates.

First, I am excited to share that Kiana Diaz will begin on March 2, 2026, as CB12M’s District Manager. I will test and distribute new Board templates in the coming weeks to reflect this change (and adjust these documents’ accessibility across hardware and software).

Second, we are in the process of hiring two summer interns. These interns will focus (respectively) on Outreach and Policy. More to come as we approach June on their responsibilities.

And third, I am continuing to advocate on behalf of the Board to meet our growing budgetary needs. I have been coordinating with both of our City Councilmembers to this effect.

Next, I want to touch on the ongoing updates made to our website:

  • We’ve revamped the Member Hub to include a main page with bulletins and initiatives, monthly updates, and policies and procedures.
  • We’ve received the District Needs Statement from the city and are working through our review. Once reviewed and finalized with the agency responses, we’ll publish this file on the website accordingly.
  • Lastly, we’re in the process of updating our Resource Directory.

For any of these items, please provide any feedback you may have!

There is plenty of more to come. As a reminder the last day to apply to serve as an appointed member of a community board in Manhattan is February 27 (now changed to March 6). A special thank you to Leo Jimenez and Noemi Diaz Corona for their leadership during the recruitment event in Inwood.

In addition, we will be re-launching Uptown Tours soon. More details to follow.
