Community Board 12-Manhattan (CB12M) covers the neighborhoods of Washington Heights and Inwood, from West 155th Street to West 220th Street, with the Harlem River Drive and the Harlem River forming the eastern and northern boundaries and the Hudson River the western boundary.

The 2020 Census reports the district’s official population as 180,206 (although the true population is most likely higher when the undocumented who may not have responded to Census-related surveys), with 65.1% of Hispanic origin, 21.2% White non-Hispanic, 7.3% Black non-Hispanic, 3.2% Asian non-Hispanic, 0.9% some other race non-Hispanic, and 2.3% Non-Hispanic of two or more races.
CB12M district has 31,907 people between the ages of 0 and 19. The 20–54-year age group comprises 47.2% of the district (85,076 people), and the 55 and older age group accounts for 35.1% (63,223 residents).
