SoHo NoHo Neighborhood Plan

On October 7th, 2020 Mayor Bill de Blasio formally announced the start of Public Process for SoHo/NoHo Neighborhood Plan following the six month Envision SoHo/NoHo community engagement and planning process that began in January 2019 and ended in November 2019 with release of the summary of findings and recommendations in the Envision SoHo/NoHo Report. Manhattan Community Board 2 participated as a member of the Envision SoHo/NoHo Advisory Group. Early in the Envision SoHo/Noho process in April 2019 CB2 passed a resolution to help inform CB2’s role in the process. CB2 also conducted a public hearing on January 15, 2020 to solicit feedback on the Envision SoHo/NoHo report.

On October 26th, 2020, the Department of City Planning (DCP) held a Public Information Session on the SoHo/NoHo Neighborhood Plan. A recording of the meeting and accompanying slides are available on the SoHo/NoHo Neighborhood Plan page.

On December 3rd at 5PM, DCP held a public scoping meeting via Zoom to hear comments from the public on the environmental scoping materials and to allow the public to inform the environmental review process. On December 8th, 2020 at 6:30PM, Community Board 2’s Land Use Committee held a public hearing to inform our response to the Department of City Planning SoHo/NoHo Draft Scope of work for the SoHo NoHo Neighborhood Plan. You can find a recording of the meeting on CB2’s Facebook page.

On December 9th, 2020 at 6:30PM, during its business session, Community Board 2’s Land Use Committee discussed its response to the Department of City Planning SoHo/NoHo Draft Scope of work for the SoHo NoHo Neighborhood Plan. Read the resolution, which was approved by the Full Board on December 17th, 2020.
