A public meeting hosted by the CB2 Landmarks Committee including a presentation and public comment concerning the potential proposal by the Parks Department to demolish the Dapolito Center. While the Parks Department was invited to make a presentation, it has declined the invitation.
The specific purpose of this meeting is to inform the community about the proposed demolition with as much information as is available to the Committee and receive comments and questions from the public. It is important to note that that in addition to this meeting, which concerns only the demolition of the building, further meetings will be held by other committees on programing and other topics related to the center.
Members of the public are invited to submit written testimony before or within one week after the meeting. There will also be limited time for public speakers with priority given to residents and organizations from the neighborhood. Those who give testimony at the meeting are invited to submit written testimony as well.
