(CB2 HAS WITHDRAWN FROM MEETING) – HUMAN SERVICES – JOINT WITH CB6 HEALTH & HUMAN SERVICES

NYS DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH and MOUNT SINAI / BETH ISRAEL WITHDRAW FROM JOINT CB2/CB6 MEETING TONIGHT ON THE PROPOSED CLOSING OF BETH ISRAEL HOSPITAL
In light of a lawsuit filed against Mount Sinai Beth Israel and the NYS Department of Health yesterday, both entities have informed us that they can no longer comment on the proposal to close Beth Israel Hospital. They will not participate in this evening’s meeting.
CB2 has withdrawn from tonight’s meeting as well.
We understand that CB6 will continue to hold a meeting at the originally scheduled place and time.
Thursday, 2/8 @ 6:30 PM – Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing, Auditorium, 425 East 25th St.
* Discussion and possible resolution concerning the proposed closing of Beth Israel Hospital.
