Board and Office Operations

Welcome to Community Board No. 2

The District Office is open from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

The District office is responsible for receiving and resolving complaints from community residents and addressing local issues at our District Service Cabinet meeting with City agencies. The board office produces a monthly calendar of meetings that notifies the community on the issues and applications that are being discussed for the month. The Board office compiles pertinent materials and information for the committee chairs.

The office also processes the applications and distributes the resolutions voted on by the Board for sidewalk cafés, liquor licenses, landmark buildings, zoning matters, and permits for block parties and street fairs. In addition, the Board office will give constituents referrals to other organizations that could provide the specific services that are not within the Board office’s capability.
