The Manhattan Community Board 10 Land Use Committee is a key subcommittee within a Manhattan Community Board, tasked with reviewing and advising on matters related to land use, zoning, and development in the district. Its primary role is to ensure that changes to the neighborhood’s physical and regulatory landscape align with the community’s needs, priorities, and vision for growth.

Meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month from 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm
The Combined Land Use and Housing Committee is responsible for reviewing and making recommendations on matters related to land use, zoning, housing development, and preservation within Central Harlem. The committee reviews proposals for new construction, rezoning, affordable housing initiatives, and other development projects to ensure they align with the community’s needs and character.
In addition, the committee addresses housing-related issues, including tenant rights, affordable housing preservation, public housing concerns, and city housing policy. The goal of the committee is to balance responsible development with the protection of Harlem’s cultural, historical, and residential integrity, while advocating for equitable housing opportunities for all residents.
