A wide range of health care and social services will be provided to it\u2019s residents.<\/p>\n<h3><b>Alexander Abraham Residence<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>341 West 51st Street<br \/>\n(212) 582-8680<\/p>\n<p>The Alexander Abraham Residence provides shelter and support services for homeless women with mental health diagnoses and chemical dependencies who have been referred through the City\u2019s Emergency Assistance Unit. The shelter is run by Women in Need<\/p>\n<h3><b>American Red Cross of Greater New York<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>520 West 49th Street<br \/>\n(877) 733-2767<br \/>\nThe Red Cross operates two Tier II shelters for homeless families referred to them by the City&#8217;s Emergency Assistance Unit. One of these, the Emergency Family Shelter, is located in Clinton (515 West 41st Street). It serves primarily single mothers and their children, and provides an array of supportive services.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Bowery Residents\u2019 Committee (BRC)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span class=\"street-address\">131 West 25th Street, 12th Floor<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"locality\">New York<\/span>,\u00a0<span class=\"region\">NY,<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"postal-code\">10001<\/span><br \/>\n(212) 803-5700<\/p>\n<p>BRC provides services and housing to homeless individuals. Their services and programs include outreaching to the unsheltered homeless, transitional housing or permanent housing, substance abuse treatment, mental and physical health services, and workforce development.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>St. Francis Xavier Church<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>30 West 16th Street<br \/>\n(212) 627-2100<\/p>\n<p>The church operates a 12 bed emergency shelter for homeless men who are referred by John Heuss House, which is a drop-in center run out of Trinity Church downtown. They also operate a soup kitchen on Sundays and a food pantry on the second Saturday of each month. Finally, the church provides life skills education and mentoring to homeless and formerly homeless adults<\/p>\n<h3><b>The Dwelling Place<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>409 West 40th Street<br \/>\n(212)\u00a0564-7887<br \/>\nThe Dwelling Place is a soup kitchen and temporary shelter for homeless adult women.<\/p>\n<h3><b>Trinity Presbyterian Church<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>422 West 57th Street<br \/>\n(212) 757-0675<\/p>\n<p>Trinity operates a homeless shelter at this site in conjunction with Partnership for the Homeless. They also run a food pantry and clothes closet on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons that serves the elderly (predominantly Latino) and women with children.
