The Youth & Education Committee of Community Board 12-Manhattan is dedicated to supporting the educational needs and aspirations of the youth in Washington Heights and Inwood. This committee works collaboratively with local schools, youth-serving organizations, parents, and students to advocate for quality education, youth development programs, and opportunities that empower young people to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.<\/p>\n

The Committee meets monthly and regularly hears from key stakeholders and provides recommendations on youth-serving projects such as new schools or expansions, recreational spaces, and district-based initiatives.<\/p>\n
