As a government-issued photo identification card, IDNYC secures the peace of mind and access to City services that come from having recognized identification.<\/p>\n<p>IDNYC cardholders can access services and programs offered by the City as well as by businesses. IDNYC helps enhance public safety, by serving as a recognized ID for interacting with NYPD. It also helps New Yorkers gain access to all City buildings that provide services to the public and is accepted as a form of identification for accessing numerous City programs and services.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www1.nyc.gov\/site\/idnyc\/index.page\">Visit the IDNYC website<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>City&#8217;s New Voting System<\/h2>\n<p>In compliance with federal and state law, New York City voters now vote using a paper ballot. They mark their choices on a paper ballot using a pen or ballot marking device, and insert their marked ballot into a scanner. The scanner then tabulates the votes after the polls close on Election Day. Their mission is to drive every City street once per month and report conditions that negatively impact quality of life to 311. SCOUT inspectors send reports of conditions they observe to the 311 system, and 311 assigns the conditions to the relevant agency for appropriate corrective action &#8211; the very same way that 311 handles complaints from the public.<\/p>\n<h2>Notify NYC<\/h2>\n<p>Notify NYC is the City of New York&#8217;s official source for information about emergency events and important City services.
